Some Graph Jam Favorites

Right now, I'm trying to write an English paper to no avail.
So I thought I'd post a little post on
My Favorite Graph Jams!

This has literally been my day:
(Curse my inability to focus!!)

I truly relate to this one.

And this one...

How is it that these simple, almost primitive graphs
have such insight to my personal psyche?

Yeti Sightings

Sadly, I am in the reverse-plateau right now.

So true. Except the last one should be
"trying to write an essay for English 5750."

November

It's officially November.

Which means I'm very sad this is over:

Life is beautiful, grotesque--terrible, fantastic.
Have I mentioned my continuous obsession with tigers?
I want to own one someday.
Well, maybe not "own" but at least hang out with.
Also random thought: I miss acai bowls!
So delicious and healthy.

Other random thoughts lately:

*Self-improvement
*Growth hurts
*The Awakening
That's all for now. I need to sleep! And not have strange dreams...

p.s. You should be listening to...The New Pornographers or anything by an old school band gathering dust in your iTunes.

Three Fantastic Things

life is pretty awesome right now.

Here are three fantastic things:

1. It is October

2. I just finished my third exam in Anthropology
Oh well.

3. Hard to describe...words are too superfluous sometimes.

p.s. You should be traveling. Soon.

Called To Serve in...

wait a second.

Are you sure you really want to know?

Fine, I'll tell you!
I've been called by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
to serve in the Warsaw, Poland Mission
reporting to the Missionary Training Center
on January 11th, 2011.

I never would have guessed.
I am so excited!
Poland has become my new obsession.

P.S. Interesting statistics of the guesses:

Everybody Wants to Be a Genius

Thanks to Jenny C. and Inara George, I now have a new favorite song. It's short but awesome in every way. I'm obsessed!

Everybody wants to be a genius.
You’re not the only one
With all things that you might do
Which one of them will you get to?
Tomorrow when you wake up
Then you’ll show them.

Nobody wants to break your heart
You do it on your own.
There’s nothing wrong with you today
Nothing you had that they took away
But all the time you’ve waited
For what is owed to you

You want to fight, they fight you blue
You want to lie, who will lie with you.
You’re the only one, waiting for a sign.
So you’re the only one
So you’re the only one

Everyone’s had some situation
Keep it to yourself
There’s no need to answer questions
Your lies have spoiled two confessions
And all the time you waited
Won’t come back to you

You want to fight, they fight you blue
You want to lie, who will lie with you.
You’re the only one, waiting for a sign.
So you’re the only one
So you’re the only one

It's Late...So Of Course I'm Writing About

Boys and Their Flaws.
(But hey, It's Why We Love Them...Right?)

Why are they so weird and charming yet strange and somewhat dim-witted sometimes?
I swear I couldn't be more obvious but apparently I underestimate
my own obviousness (didn't know that was a word until just now...thank you Oxford American Dictionary!).

OR of course there is the possibility
that I am being politely denied...but come on! What's not to love?

So here's the real question: put it all out on the table and surrender Mystery?
Or keep seductively half-shaded but risk missing Cupid's arrow?

These are protuberant philosophical questions for a young,
single girl...especially so close to the midnight hour.
